HABIT Kick-Off Meeting  [05.05.23]

On Friday, May 5, the kick-off of the cooperative graduate college HABIT of the University of Hohenheim (UHOH) and the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences (HfWU) took place on the campus of Hohenheim.

After greetings from Prof. Dr. Ralf Vögele, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Hohenheim, and the spokespersons of the doctoral program, Prof. Dr. Carola Pekrun (HfWU) and Prof. Dr. Claudia Bieling (UHOH), the participants – including seven students and fourteen supervisors – got to know each other or deepened existing contacts.

The program included general information and discussions on the organization and cooperation in the graduate college as well as first insights into the PhD projects I, II, III, IV and VIII that started already and exchange on the cooperation with the Competence Center for Biodiversity and Integrative Taxonomy – KomBioTa. The board of directors was also elected for two years and consists of the two speakers Prof. Dr. Claudia Bieling and Prof. Dr. Carola Pekrun, two scientific representatives Prof. Dr. Maria Müller-Lindenlauf and Prof. Dr. Ingo Graß as well as the two doctoral candidates Lea Kokawke and Marit Kasten. During the subsequent lunch, the participants further exchanged ideas about their projects within the graduate college HABIT.
