Freya Zettl
Since successfully completing her biology studies in Tübingen, Freya Zettl has been working as a research associate at the Institute for Applied Agricultural Sciences (IAAF) at Nürtingen-Geislingen University (NGU). Her research work focuses on the influence of different diversification measures in maize on insect biodiversity, especially wild bees and ground beetles.
In March 2023, she started her PhD on arable weeds within the interdisciplinary graduate college "Leverage Points for Biodiversity Enhancement in Agricultural Landscapes (HABIT)". The research is based at the IAAF at Nürtingen-Geislingen University and at the department of Landscape Ecology and Vegetation Science in Hohenheim. In her doctoral thesis, she is investigating the influence of agricultural management practices and agri-environmental schemes on endangered as well as problematic arable weed species.
